To attain the double objectives
of extending access to all sections of the public and offering constant
professional growth and teaching to all sectors of the country, IGNOUU employs various media and most
recent technology in imparting edification.
The University has started a
dedicated course on satellite, EduSat recently. The founding of the
Inter-University association, the University has guided in a new age of
technology-facilitated education in the nation. At present, there are 134
active both-way video-conferencing centers, providing network connectivity to
all high enrollment study centers and all the regional centers, which has made
it feasible to carry out interactive digital content.
Importance is now being laid on
increasing interactive multimedia and online education, and adding significance
to the conventional distance education delivery method with contemporary
technology-enabled edification within the structure of combined learning. As
part of this effort, numerous advance courses are being provided full-time on
site, at the head office, some regional centers and at other reputed
institutions with which the University has agreements for this reason.
A new Bachelor of Arts course in
Applied Sign Language has been commenced in alliance with the University of
Central Lancashire in Britain. This course is the archetype one in the world.
